Message from the Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers:
"As you move through these changing times... be easy on yourself and be easy on one another. You are at the beginning of something new. You are learning a new way of being. You will find that you are working less in the yang modes that you are used to.
You will stop working so hard at getting from point A to point B the way you have in the past, but instead, will spend more time experiencing yourself in the whole, and your place in it.
Instead of traveling to a goal out there, you will voyage deeper into yourself. Your mother's grandmother knew how to do this. Your ancestors from long ago knew how to do this. They knew the power of the feminine principle... and because you carry their DNA in your body, this wisdom and this way of being is within you.
Call on it. Call it up. Invite your ancestors in. As the yang based habits and the decaying institutions on our planet begin to crumble, look up. A breeze is stirring. Feel the sun on your wings."

Ah yes, I read this on Facebook recently and shared it. I like the idea that we can stop working so hard to get from point A to Point B! Change can happen in a sort of timeless flow, and is not such a struggle.
My experience with ancestors has been interesting lately. I have met with a Gumbaynggirr elder through my work at the nursery, and with landcare. Her mission is called Yandara, which means "shifting camp together" and is inspired by Koala ancestor. Koalas as you may know are suffering from loss of their habitat along the east coast of NSW.
Aboriginal culture here is the oldest continuing human culture on earth. Imagine being in the places where your ancestors have lived for tens of thousands of years! There is a wealth of ancestral knowledge and wisdom about human nature, and about the natural world. The animals and birds and insects are also part of the ancestral world.
Aunty Sha has been called to bring people together to find ways of seeing the path ahead in a new way, and learning to listen to country, and to our ancestors. White people in her workshops were surprised to feel their ancestors near, and it took some time to express what messages they were passing on. We are not used to letting them speak to us the way Aboriginal people do.
There is an ancient aboriginal practise, called Dadirri, which is very much like being in the Temple. In her workshops, we have been entering a still space, in order to listen for messages from our ancestors, and then paying attention to the land around us to find out what it is wanting us to hear.
I discovered that water is speaking - asking for our attention, and our respect. There is much to learn. Water is everywhere, in the hollows and pathways above ground, and deep below us. It rises into the air and travels along pathways there too. It carries so many stories. It is in all life, including our human bodies. Part of my work now is learning from water, how to slow it down in the land, and let it repair some of the damage we have been doing in the last 200 years by clearing forests and rushing about trying to force a response from the soil. I even begin to understand that the plants have messages for us too - I love watching how seeds turn into seedlings, ready to become trees. There is a wonderful flow of good energy around our rainforest nursery, attracting people and bringing hope.
Interestingly, Aunty Sha has a strong bond with my complicated daughter Ayla, now identifying as male and calling himself Lex. Lex and I are planning on learning some of the Gumbaynggirr language this year. I am hoping Lex will find a place and purposeful connections with some more people in the Gumbaynggirr mob, as he is still struggling with mental and emotional balance, old trauma, and social isolation.
Yes, it is a time of change. Thanks for posting this message from the 13 Grandmothers, dear Heather. Writing here has helped me to clarify some things for myself this morning.... I will do the Rite of Communion now, as the first light begins with the birds.
love Annie

Good morning Annie its going to be very hot here today as the sun is just waking the earth. Thanks for your fascinating and exciting reply. I have also wondered how Lex was, as he follows his unique path, I send him all my love. I can’t help touching his purpose, which is in alignment with the human union of male female in balance. what you describe with the grandmother is so very true for me too, this exploration of and becoming one with the earth in every way. In so many ways Metatron’s work, was teaching us to release the old so,we can celebrate life. I also have a great love for,the indiginious teachings and their deep wisdom we have so much to learn from them. What a gift to have her teachings as you do. I am reading one of Drunvala Melchezedec’s books at the moment on these ancient teachings as well, it is about working with the grandmothers and the grandfathers to ignite the earth’s kundalini in the hearts of man. It is a book I think, you would enjoy. It is called ’Serpent of Light’ much love Heather
